EBay Terms and Conditions

NU Gaming at times sell a limited selection of our products on EBay under the ID of nugaming.  In most cases the start price of those auctions is lower than the prices on this website, but the end price may be higher.

The main reason that we sell on EBay is to meet new customers and give them a positive experience on NU Gaming while under the umbrella protection of EBay's safeguards.  We would like to emphasis that dealing directly with us is as safe as dealing through EBay, but appreciate that some customers particularly those new to internet buying will be apprehensive about trusting us on the first transaction.

Whilst the main purpose of our EBay auctions is to meet new customers, we do not place any restrictions on existing customers placing bids on those auctions.

Carriage

On EBay we separate the carriage element from the bid price. This is because we pay commission to EBay on the final bid price, but not the carriage. On our website the carriage is bundled in with the displayed price for simplicity - the price displayed is the price you pay (UK only, extra required for overseas). This can be confusing for winners of EBay auctions particularly if they add a directly ordered item to their EBay win. In these cases you will still pay the carriage price listed in the auction description for the EBay win.

International Bidders

If you are not in the United Kingdom (Britain) or British Forces (BFPO), you are in “The Rest of the World” to us. “Rest of the World” carriage prices are listed in the auction description, as are UK prices.

It is very difficult to keep track of postage prices thoughout the world and list a whole string of different rates for different areas for every auction we list. We just try to keep it simple and list one price for the “Rest of the World”.  If you live in a country close to the UK, please do not be upset about the “Rest of the World” price being applied to you or ask for a discount.  You can see what it is before you bid, please factor that into your final bid price accordingly.  Note that the carriage price, also includes packaging, handling, insurance and in the case of EEC customers, VAT (Tax).

International customers please note that a local Sales Tax or Import Duty may be payable on delivery. It is your responsibility to check what local taxes are payable. NU Gaming cannot keep abreast of all liabilities payable worldwide and we cannot give advice on specific countries.  We have noticed though that the majority of countries do not impose any such taxes for parcels below a certain value typically £250 (GBP), but we cannot guarantee this and, notable exceptions are Canada and Norway which do impose a charge at much lower values.

Multiple Auction Wins - discount on carriage

If you win 2 or more auctions, we will reduce the combined postage for the second and subsequent items by 50p per item.  E.g. If you win 3 items with individual carriages prices of £1.00, £2.00 and £3.00 (Total £6.00), you pay £1.00, £1.50 and £2.50 (Total £5.00). However, please note that there is very little saving on postage in shipping low weight items together. The main savings is in the packaging and handling and the money handling charge that we pay to the banks / Paypal etc.  So if you make multiple payments for your wins, you do not qualify for these discounts.

If you win an auction and want to qualify for the multiple auction win discount with another auction that hasn’t finished yet.  Please hold payment until you have won the last auction and then pay for them together. You do not need to ask us to wait unless the first auction is over 2 weeks old - reminders to pay only go out after 2 weeks.

We offer this discount as a goodwill gesture, because a lot of people expect it, but it can be very frustrating to do this especially when the final bid price + carriage is less than our website price.  However, if you make a quick payment as soon as the auctions finish before you have received our initial EMail and pay the full combined carriage, or just miss or forget to apply the discount, thanks.  Please don’t ask for it back as it is a real administrative nightmare to refund 50p to dozens of different people, account for it for VAT and Tax purposes, and incurs charges from many of the money handling systems used and accountancy fees.

Preferred Payment Method

Our preferred method of payment is by Paypal

If you can’t or are uncomfortable with using Paypal please feel free to use one of the other methods listed in the auction description or on the Initial EMail we send you. No explanation is necessary.

Alternative methods of payment are listed at Carriage Fees and Payment Options

Pay Now / Buy Now

If you wish to use Paypal to pay for your goods and you use the link in the EBay auction description or Checkout form to reach the Paypal invoice, please note that we are charged a fee for each payment received.  If you have won several auctions, please combine them into one payment, this can be done simply when going through an auction Buy Now link as the next page will list the other auctions, with check boxes for you to add them into the same payment.

International bidders please note that the carriage price should have been adjusted for your area of the world to coincide with that listed in the auction description, please check that this is correct.

If the total is wrong, for example, if you have received a multi buy discount or brought something else direct you can adjust the total to the correct amount by using the “Sellers discounts (-) or charges (+)” field.  If in doubt contact us.

Occasionally we cannot contact our winning bidders.  If you do not receive the initial EMail from us, please endeavor to contact us, if necessary using the contact details found on the Contact Us page of this website. Problems

If a problem does arise please contact us. We pride ourselves on our customer services and will endeavor to do all in our power to correct any problems however they arose.

Cancel Transaction

If you wish to cancel your transaction, please drop us a line. You do not need to give an explanation. We waste an awful lot of time chasing people who have decided not to complete and think if they simply ignore us we will just walk away. We are quite happy to walk away, but don’t want to do that prematurely and lose a potential customer when it might just be a communication problem.  Telling us will save us a lot of hassle and we will not post negative feedback when that happens.  If you fail to tell us, we will post negative feedback and raise a Non Payer Bidder Alert.

Feedback

We always post feedback, usually on the day that payment is received.  We request that you post feedback when you receive the goods, assuming all is OK. If there is a problem, please contact us and give us a chance to resolve that problem first. Below is the easiest way to post feedback, particularly if you are involved with several auctions at the same time:

    1. Go to your My EBay page or anywhere your ID is displayed (like an auction you won).

    2. Click on the number in brackets after your ID

    3. You are taken to a page showing the first 25 comments that have been left for you (View Feedback page).

    4. At the bottom of the page is a section titled
Where would you like to go next? take the second option "Leave Feedback".

    5. Each item in the list has a text box allowing you to enter about 80 characters and 4 radio buttons "Positive, Negative, Neutral and Don’t Leave Feedback Now" with the latter selected by default for each one.

    6. Add your comments for whichever ones you like and change the relevant radio button.

    7. Note that if one or more comments are set to either negative or neutral, a confirmation page comes up, also if you set a radio button to positive but don't actually leave a comment the same thing happens. If all your comments are positive, it misses out the confirmation step.

    8. Note that once a comment is posted it is removed from that page, hence only outstanding comments remain.  You can't ever change a comment once posted but can add a follow up later, or at least you could, I can’t work out how to do that nowadays, any ideas?.

    9. Like the "View Feedback" page, the "Leave Feedback" page displays the first 25 items in date order, but unlike the "View Feedback" page you can't resize this to show more comments. You have to page forward to get to later comments if you have more than 25 outstanding. Most people I suppose don't have more than 25 but if you do (like me) and you have got about 10 comments to leave spread over 3 or 4 pages this can be a real pain.  If you leave them on the first page first, it refreshes the order, they all shuffle down, and you have to start by displaying page 1 again, then if 1 of the pending comments has moved onto page 1, you leave that comment and then have to do it all again with the same possibility of another pending comment moving down to page 1.  TIP - page right through to the last page before leaving any comment, leave comments on the last page first, and then use the browser back button to get to previous pages - it doesn't matter that they haven't been refreshed because nothing will have shuffled down.
